Dr. Mark Bishara

Dr. Mark Bishara completed his undergraduate studies in medical biophysics, at the University of Western Ontario and was a gold medal recipient as top graduate of his program. He went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. Since graduating, he practices in the Durham region with a focus on digital workflow, dental implants, bone grafting material regeneration and tissue regeneration. He currently collaborates with members of the Miron Lab in the United States on tissue regeneration utilizing Platelet Rich Fibrin(PRF). He is a published author on PRF , immediate dental implants and clinical applications. He is the President and founder of the Canadian Implant Dentistry Network, Canada’s largest online implant community. He is on the advisory board of Spectrum Implants, the only peer reviewed implant journal in Canada as the Implants Product Review Editor.

Dr. Michael Scherer

Dr. Michael Scherer is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Loma Linda University, a Clinical Instructor at University of Nevada – Las Vegas, and maintains a practice limited to prosthodontics and implant dentistry in Sonora, California. He is a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists, has published articles, DVD training series, and full‐online courses related to implant dentistry, clinical prosthodontics, and digital technology with a special emphasis on implant overdentures. As an avid technology & computer hobbyist, Dr. Scherer’s involvement in digital implant dentistry has led him to develop and utilize new technology with CAD/CAM surgical systems, implement interactive CBCT implant planning, and outside of the box radiographic imaging concepts. Dr. Scherer also maintains five YouTube channels:“LearnLOCATOR”, “LearnLODI”, “LearnSATURNO”,“LearnLOCATOR F‐Tx” and “The 3D Dentist”‐ popular YouTube channels on standard and narrow diameter dental implant procedures and digital dentistry.

Dr. Michael Tischler

Dr Michael Tischler is the Implant Editor for Dentistry Today Magazine. He maintains a private practice in Woodstock, NY and is the Implant director and owner of Tischler Dental Laboratory as well as the founder of the Teeth Tomorrow Franchise Network. Michael has over 40 articles published on implant dentistry and bone grafting, and has lectured extensively in the US and Canada including his in-office live surgical course on the Prettau Zirconia Implant Bridge. Dr Tischler is of Faculty for the AAID Maxi Course at Rutgers University. Dr Tischler is a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral Implantology/ Implant Dentistry. A Diplomat of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, A Fellow and Honored Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, A Fellow of the Academy Of General Dentistry, and a Fellow of The Misch International Implant Institute. Dr. Snjezana Pohl

Snjezana Pohl is both doctor of human and dental medicine. She is a specialist in oral surgery and EDA certificated specialist for periodontology and implantology.

Currently she is joint owner and head of the Department for Oral Surgery in a private clinic (Rident). Designated as an assistant professor, she additionally is giving lectures at the Department of Oral Medicine and Periodontology at the School of Dental Medicine of the University of Rijeka.

In 2015 she became a DentalXP expert and a lecturer at worldwide dental meetings.

As an active lecturer in the fields of implantology and periodontology she underlines the importance of minimally invasive techniques especially in a comprehensive treatment methodologies based upon Preservation of tissues such as Partial extraction therapies, autogenous tissue utilization, Osseodensification and others.

Dr. Ioannis Vergoullis

Dr. Ioannis Vergoullis graduated from the Dental School of the Kapodestrian University of Athens, Greece in 1999. He received his Certificate in Periodontics and Masters degree in Oral Biology from the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry, New Orleans, USA in 2005. Since 2006, Dr Vergoullis is the leading Periodontist at the Vergoullis Dental Clinic in Rhodes, Greece and in 2010 he became a Visiting Assistant Professor of the Periodontics Department at the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans, USA. Dr. Vergoullis is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a Fellow and Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). He is also an International member of the American Academy of Periodontology and the ICOI and an honorary member of the Aesthetic Academies of Greece, Lithuania and Bulgaria. Since 2010 he is member of the Board and the Director of the scientific committee of the Dodecanese Dental Association in Greece. Dr. Vergoullis has been an invited keynote speaker in several international meetings in Greece, Spain, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Ukraine, Netherlands, USA and Germany and his main topic of interest is laser assisted periodontal treatment and implantology. Dr. Vergoullis is the co-inventor of the Cervico System by VPI and holds several patents in the field of Dental Implantology.

Dr. Gregori Kurtzman

Dr. Gregori Kurtzman is in private general practice in Silver Spring, Maryland. A former Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Dentistry, Department of Endodontics, Prosthetics and Operative Dentistry, he is also a former Assistant Clinical Director of the AAID Implant Maxi-Course at Howard University College of Dentistry. Dr. Kurtzman has lectured both nationally and internationally on the topics of Restorative dentistry, Endodontics and Implant surgery and prosthetics, removable and fixed prosthetics, Periodontics and has over 550 published articles. He is privileged to be on the editorial board of numerous dental publications, a consultant for multiple dental companies, a former Mastership Program Director for the Maryland AGD, he has earned Fellowship in the AGD, ACD, ICOI, Pierre Fauchard, Academy of Dentistry International, Mastership in the AGD and ICOI and Diplomat status in the ICOI and American Dental Implant Association (ADIA). Dr. Dong-Seok Sohn

Dr. Dong-Seok Sohn is Professor and Chairman, Department of Dentistry and Oral andMaxillofacial Surgery, School of Medicine, Catholic University of Deagu, Republic of Korea.He is founding president of World Academy of Ultrasonic Piezoelectric Bone Surgery(www.waups.org)He has introduced various piezoelectric bone surgery devices in Asia and Pacific area since2002 and inventor of HPISE. He has been invited for lectures on implantolgy andpiezoelectric bone surgery nationally and internationally for many years. He published manyarticles and books on implantolgy and piezoelectric bone surgery in peer reviewed nationaland international journals. He is Recipient of Charles English Award by Implant Dentistrywhich flagship journal of ICOI.

He is Past President of ICOI Asia-pacific section and founding President of ICOI Korea(Korean Society of Oral Implantologists).He is Senior Editorial Member of Implant Dentistry which is flagship journal of ICOI andeditorial advisory board of the Journal of Implant and Advanced Clinical Dentistry &International Journal of Oral Implantology and Clinical ResearchHe was a congress chair of 9th Congress of ICOI Asia Pacific Section and Co congresschair of 28th ICOI World Congress (Sep. 6-9, 2011) and 2012 World Congress of UltrasonicPiezoelectric Bone Surgery (Sep 18-20, 2012).

Dr. Richard Miron

Dr. Richard Miron is currently an affiliated Professor in the department of Periodontology at the University of Bern in Switzerland where he performed his PhD. He also serves as a visiting professor in 3 dental schools including in Wuhan, China (Oral Implantology) UIC in Barcelona, Spain (Oral Surgery), and previously as an Adjunct Professor at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. From 2015-2016, he served as the head of the Oral Biology Laboratory at one of the highest ranking dental school’s in the world (University of Bern, Switzerland) under Chairs Professor Anton Sculean (Periodontology) and Daniel Buser (Oral Surgery). He completed his undergraduate degree and Masters in Cell Biology at the University of Western Ontario in Canada, a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology and a dr. med. dent. thesis at the University of Bern, Switzerland, and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Laval, Canada. He has currently published over 150 peer-reviewed articles in the top ranking dental and biomaterials journals and is the primary editor of two textbooks.

His main research interests involve the use of growth factors used for bone and periodontal regeneration, osteoinductive bone grafting materials; collagen barrier membranes and guided bone regeneration in implant dentistry. Dr. Miron is widely considered one of the top young investigators in the field of implant dentistry having recently been awarded many internationally recognized prizes including the International Team for Implantology (ITI) Andre Schroeder Prize (2016), the International Association of Dental Research (IADR) Young Investigator of the Year in the field of Implant Dentistry (2015), the Canadian IADR Hatton Award recipient (2015), and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry Young Investigator Grant Award (2014).

Dr. Miron and Dr. Joseph Choukroun recently edited a 15 chapter textbook titled: “Platelet Rich Fibrin in Regenerative Dentistry: Biological Background and Clinical Indications” gathering collaborations from 20 co-authors from around the globe. Furthermore, a second textbook titled: “Next Generation Biomaterials for Bone and Periodontal Biomaterials” is currently underway in collaboration with Dr. Yufeng Zhang. Together they have formed one of the strongest regenerative labs in the dental field focused on the development of new biomaterials utilized in dentistry introduced to the markets in North America, Europe and Asia.

Dr. Howard Gluckman

Dr Gluckman completed his dental training at the university of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg in 1990.  After spending a number of years in a general practice he completed a 4-year full time degree in Oral Medicine and Periodontics at the University of Stellenbosch in Cape Town, which he completed with distinction (cum Laude) in 1998.  He was intimately involved in the development of the postgraduate diploma in Implantology at both the University of Stellenbosch and later at the University of Western Cape.  He is currently in full time private practice in Cape Town  He is the director of the Implant and Aesthetic Academy, which is a private post graduate training facility in South Africa currently providing a complete postgraduate training program in Implantology in South Africa.  The Academy is accredited accredited by The University of Frankfurt as well as Stoneybrook University and Dental XP as an accredited training facility for their online externship diploma.  He has been involved in Implantology training for 20 years.

Dr Gluckman was the author of a monthly Implantology corner for the South African Dental Journal and is the immediate past president of the South African Society for dental Implantology and on the board of the Southern African Association of Osseointegration (SAAO).  He has served as the secretary of the South African society of Periodontics.  He has lectured extensively nationally  and internationally and is a member of Dentsply / Friadent's Master Speakers Program.  He is on the experts panel of the international educational website Dental XP and is on the Dental XP scientific board.  He is on the Editorial board of the South African Dental Journal as well as the Indian Journal of Prosthodontics and is An Associate of the College of Medicine and Dentistry of South Africa.

His special interests are immediate placement/ immediate load as well as soft tissue aesthetics and periodontal plastic surgery.  autogenous bone augmentation especially bone harvested from the palate and three-dimensional bone augmentation.

Dr. Vinh Giap Nguyen

Dr Vinh Giap Nguyen obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgeon degree at McGill University, Montreal in 1987. In 2014, he was awarded a Masters of Science degree in Implantology from Goëthe University in Frankfurt, Germany. Since 2016, he has been an Accredited Tutor for the Master of Implantology Program at Goëthe University.

He was an invited speaker at the International Scientific Symposium 'Innovation Jumps in Oral Implantology'  in 2015, Frankfurt am Main, Germany on the subject of Ridge Splitting for Expansion, and in 2017 on The Clinical protocol on the Socket shield technique.

He focuses his practice in Implantology and Temporomandibular Joint disorder and Craniofacial Pain.

Dr. Rick Ferguson

Dr. Ferguson has been involved in teaching implant dentistry for the last 20 years and has lectured in every major city in the United States as well as internationally in Saudi Arabia, UK,  India, Argentina, Taiwan, South Korea, Jamaica, Antigua, China and the Bahamas. These lecture topics have included treatment planning, case selection, simple and complex surgical placement and restoration, advanced bone grafting and bone graft materials, use of Computed Tomography and surgical guides, hygienic maintenance, management of complications and failures. Dr. Ferguson has placed and restored over 5000 dental implants and maintains a private practice with his wife Dr. Katherine Ferguson in Davie, FL emphasizing dental implants and where they also teach a live surgery course.Dr. Ferguson has been instrumental in implementing implant training programs and hands on bone grafting courses which have been attended by thousands of dentists.

Dr. Delia Tuttle

Dr. Tuttle is a dual trained dental professional who became and practiced as a physician before she fell in love with dentistry.

Her passion for medicine led her towards the medical aspect of dentistry and she devoted herself to soft tissue engineering using patient, own blood derivatives. Dr. Tuttle owns a private practice in California.

She graduated from UCLA, 2009 with Dean’ s Leadership award and since then she became an international and national speaker. She educates dentists and specialists on Gum Drop Technique, root coverage procedure using biological factors A-PRF and i- PRF. 

If that is not enough, Dr. Delia Tuttle developed an international movement empowering women in the dental field called Divas in Dentistry.

Dr. Bobbi Birdi

Dr. Birdi received his DMD with distinction from the University of Saskatchewan. He then moved to Minnesota to pursue post-graduate specialty training at the University of Minnesota

in both periodontics and prosthodontics. He is a Fellow and previous Examiner for the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and a Diplomate of both the American Board of Periodontology, and the American Board of Prosthodontics.  Dr. Birdi is one of the very few board certified dual specialists in periodontics and prosthodontics in North America, and the first specialist in the world to attain board certification in these two specialties in both the USA and Canada.

 

Dr. Birdi is also a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists, a member of the Association of Prosthodontists of Canada, and a member of the American Academy of Periodontology.  Furthermore, he is a member of the board of directors for the Western Society of Periodontology.

 

He is also a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the Academy of Osseointegration, and the International Team for Implantology.  He is a reviewer for the Journal of Oral Implantology, Clinical Advances in Periodontics, and the International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants (JOMI).

 

Dr. Birdi is an adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia and the University of Minnesota, where he is involved in multiple dental implant research projects and clinical trials. Dr. Birdi also actively lectures both nationally and internationally in the fields of implant surgery and prosthetics, as well as esthetic dentistry.

 

Dr. Birdi presently the director of the Pacific Institute for Advanced Dental Education  as well as the Digital Dentistry Institute which are learning centres for his fellow dentists.  He is also currently practicing at the BC Perio Dental Health & Implant Centres in Vancouver.  His practice focuses on comprehensive periodontal and prosthetic treatment with a major focus on esthetics and implant dentistry.

Dr. Maurice Salama

Dr. Maurice A. Salama completed his undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1985, where he received his BS in Biology. Dr. Salama received his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he later received his dual specialty certification in Orthodontics and Periodontics, as well as implant training at the Branemark Center at Penn. He was awarded the George Coslet and Richard Chase Scholarships at the University of Pennsylvania during his post-doctoral studies. Dr. Salama is currently on the faculties of the University of Pennsylvania and the Medical College of Georgia as Clinical Assistant Professor of Periodontics.

Dr. Salama has completed an ADA accredited hospital-based General Practice Residency at Maimonides Medical Center in New York City. In 1988 he had the opportunity to further broaden his clinical horizons through externships at Hebrew University in Jerusalem and Beth Israel Hospital in New York City. His very unique background includes specialized training in Orthodontics, Periodontal Surgery, and Implant Dentistry.

Dr. Salama is an active member in the American Academy of Orthodontics, the American Academy of Periodontics, the Academy of Osseointegration, Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, Thomas P. Hinman Dental Society, Georgia Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. He also served as the Dental Expert for Fox (WAGA) TV in Atlanta, Georgia on a weekly basis.

The dual nature of his specialty training makes Dr. Salama a frequent author of dental literature, and a sought-after lecturer nationally and internationally.

Dr. Ehab Moussa

  • Dr. Moussa obtained his Bachelors degree in dentistry from Alexandria University, Egypt. He then joined his father in a specialty practice focusing on dental implant rehabilitation. In 2012 Dr. Moussa joined the periodontics fellowship program at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) in Cleveland, Ohio. Following which he pursued a Masters degree and residency in periodontics at CWRU.

  • In 2016 Dr. Moussa joined the implant restoration fellowship program at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He currently maintains a full time position in private practice limited to periodontal surgery and dental implant rehabilitation.

Dr. Alina Krivitsky Alam

  • Dr. Alina Krivitsky Aalam graduated with a BS in Dental Hygiene, DDS and a Certificate in Advanced Periodontics from the USC School of Dentistry.  She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.  Western Society of Periodontology and USC Research Committee awarded Dr. Krivitsky Aalam for her outstanding achievement and contribution to the field of Periodontics.   Dr. Krivitsky Aalam is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the USC School of Dentistry in the department of Advanced Periodontics and a lecturer for the Dental Hygiene program.  She is on a committee for Friends of Dentistry, Los Angeles Dental Society Board of Directors and Peer Review.  Dr. Krivitsky serves as an expert advisor for he “Surviving Beautifully” book and online source dedicated to helping others with beauty issues during and after a cancer fight.

Dr. Ramón Gómez Meda 

  • Dr. Ramón Gómez Meda graduated in Periodontics and Implantology (Madrid 99-00) and completed this studies with clinical stays in colleges, hospitals and clinics in Europe and America.

Dr. Frank Zastrow

  • Dr. Frank Zastrow is an experienced oral surgeon and former senior physician at Professor Dr. Fouad Khoury, clinic Schloss Schellenstein in Olsberg, Germany. Now he leads his own private clinic in Wiesloch, Germany. His focus is the bone and soft tissue reconstruction in complex and compromised cases. For this topic he is also an international speaker (www.frankzastrow.com) and founder of the facebook group `Real Bone Builders` -a platform for Biological Bone Augmentation, which focusses on working with pure autogenous bone and tissues. After he finished the dental school in University of Heidelberg, Germany, he became research associate at the oral surgery and maxillofacial surgery center of the University of Heidelberg (medical director: Prof. Dr. J. Mühling). 2008 he got licensed for dentistry and oral surgery, doctorate from University of Heidelberg. 2009-2012 he practiced as oral surgeon at the private clinic Schloss Schellenstein, Olsberg, Germany (medical director: Prof. Dr. F. Khoury) and from 2011 he was Senior Physician at the private clinic Schloss Schellenstein. 2011 he licensed to `Master M.Sc. Implantology and Dental Surgery in the University of Münster, Germany.
