Advanced Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) Training

June 14-Toronto

July 19-Vancouver

Faculty: Dr. Richard Miron  Dr. Mark Bishara

This course was designed for the serious Canadian implantologist wishing to further optimize the use of platelet rich fibrin in their clinical practice for regenerative procedures in implant dentistry.

This course will be taught by two leaders in regenerative dentistry, Dr. Richard Miron, author of two best-selling textbooks titled “Platelet Rich Fibrin in Regenerative Dentistry” and “Next Generation Biomaterials for Bone and Periodontal Regeneration” and the president of the Canadian Implant Dentistry Network, Dr. Mark Bishara. The course will provide both updates in platelet rich fibrin utilizing horizontal   centrifugation including methods to optimize liquid-PRF formulations as well as their appropriate clinical indications. Participants will have the opportunity to utilize a novel sinus grafting kit (CAS kit) in combination with newer protocols of PRF to facilitate sinus grafting utilizing sticky bone (PRF + bone grafting material). Each participant will have a hands on model where a sinus grafting procedure will be performed in a hands-on session utilizing the Bio-Bone technology. Participants will each be required to produce the newer formulations of PRF with extended working properties of PRF from 2-3 weeks until 4-6 months (e-PRF) where a barrier membrane will be created incorporating a “sticky bone matrix” with bone allografts. Furthermore, Alb-PRF protocols will be shown with live demonstrations regarding their use in facial esthetics.

Course Outline

8:30am to 10:00am: Richard Miron – Understanding how to better concentrate platelet rich fibrin l(C-PRF) for maximum regenerative purposes. Understand the protocols to extend the working properties of PRF (e-PRF) from 2-3 weeks to 4-6 months utilizing the Bio-Heat Technology

10:00-10:30am: break

10:30 to 12:00pm: Mark Bishara – Uses of Platelet Rich Fibrin in clinical practice. What are we truly training to achieve? How has the Bio-PRF system helped my practice. -indications for indirect sinus lift procedures -criteria for success -the role of prf in indirect sinus elevations procedure -methods for indirect sinus lifts including hands on exercises using the hiossen cas kit , prf and particulate bone

12:00 to 1:00pm: Lunch

1:30 to 2:30pm: Richard Miron – Live demonstrations of C-PRF and e-PRF. Use of PRF in facial esthetics. Live demonstrations of micro-needling, PRF injections and facial augmentations. What is our role as the practicing dentist?

2:30-3:00pm: break

3:00-5:00pm: Mark Bishara and Richard Miron – Hands-on practical section on models utilizing the cas kit for sinus lifting procedures with Sticky Bone, the Bio-Bone protocol utilizing the Bio-PRF and Bio-Heat technology.
